Renault Master 2.3 dCi not heating - stuck thermostatIf a Renault Master 2.3 dCi takes too long to reach temperature and only lukewarm air comes from the vents, the most common cause is a thermostat stuck open. The coolant then circulates constantly through the large circuit, the engine does not reach operating temperature, fuel consumption rises and engine wear accelerates. A typical sign is a hot feed hose and a cold return hose with no circulation through the heater matrix. Replacing the thermostat is quick and inexpensive; it is worth checking the water pump and temperature sensor at the same time. |
