Why does the electric window switch not work in my Renault Master?

If the window in a Master III (2010-2019) stops responding to the switch while the fuse is intact, check the switch itself first. Its contacts burn due to the window motor's starting current, making this the most common and least expensive cause. A quick test is to operate the window from the switch on the other side, or perform the reverse check. If it works, the motor and window regulator mechanism are serviceable. The second typical cause is a broken wiring loom inside the rubber gaiter between the door pillar and the door. The wires fracture after thousands of opening cycles. Replace the window regulator motor only after ruling out both causes. Separate switches are used for the driver and passenger sides, so match the replacement by the number of pins and the connector colour.
