Specifications Van Fiat Ducato II of Transit Center.
The second generation of Fiat Ducato came from the hands of one of the most famous designers of passenger cars and vans in history, the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro from Ital Design. Design work began as early as 1987, and the end result was presented at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Geneva in 1994. Thanks to its modern, more streamlined design and extremely efficient second-generation Fiat Ducato engines, in 1995 it received the prestigious award Van of the Year 1995, which is the most important award for this type of car cyclically gave.
Fiat Ducato of the second generation was available in several different configurations and was produced in three factories located in Val di Sangro (like its predecessor), Sete Lagoas (Brazil) and Jelabuga (Russia). Interestingly, Fiat Ducato II was produced in Brazil until 2018! Ducato II was offered as a van in three variants of wheelbase (2850 mm, 3200 mm, 3700 mm), station wagon (5 - 9 seats), minibus (12 - 15 seats), chassis with cab, dumper, bodywork, frame chassis and a cabin with a drive system. In 2002, the facelift was carried out, the front belt was changed, new headlights were added, the front grille and the front bumper were redesigned, giving it a more modern look. Changes has been the vehicle interior and the engine. The 4x4 variant has also been added to the offer.
The offer of available engines was so diverse that everyone could choose something for themselves. There were 3 petrol engines to choose from, two powered by 2.0 Natural Power (CNG) and 2.0 (LPG), as well as 15 diesel engines with power from 68 to 146 HP in the model after facelift fitted with a 2.8 JTD Power engine. All petrol engines had the same - two liter liters. Diesel engines, on the other hand, offered 1.9, 2.0, 2.3, 2.5 and 2.8 turbo engines.
Production of one of the most popular commercial cars ended in 2006, when Fiat also presented the third generation of Fiat Ducato. On the Brazilian market, production of Fiat Ducato II lasted until 2018!
