Specifications Van Fiat Ducato III of Transit Center.

The third generation of Fiat Ducato debuted on the market in September 2006 and immediately won the hearts of many customers. Fiat Ducato III looked extremely modern, while offering loading options at the highest level. In addition, the completely new interior, with a number of amenities for the driver and passengers, was a hit. Fiat Ducato has quickly become the most popular commercial vehicle in Europe. His popularity was so much that in 2013 Fiat Ducato was presented in North America. There it is sold under the Ram Trucks brand as Ram ProMaster.

The third generation Fiat Ducato is available in countless variants and with three wheelbases to choose from L1, L2 and L3, as well as with three heights H1 - H3. The shortest variant designated L1 has a wheelbase of 3 meters, while the longest is 4035 mm. The intermediate variant has a wheelbase of 3450 mm. In 2014, Fiat Ducato was facelift. Practically the entire front of the car was rebuilt. New headlights with LED daytime running lights, new front grille, bonnet and bumper were introduced. The car was now much more modern. Engines have also changed and some interior elements have been improved. Completely new seats, a cups hold integrated with the console and a holder for mobile devices and notebooks were introduced. All changes were a response to the needs of users.

The engines in the new Fiat Ducato of the third generation until 2011 were as follows: 100 MultiJet, 120 MultiJet, 130 MultiJet, 160 MultiJet Power and 140 Natural Power. As you can guess, the number before the name means the number of horsepower generated by the engine. The engine with the designation 130 MultiJet was offered only in the version designed for camper-type bodies. By 2014, 115 MultiJet II, 130 MultiJet II, 150 MultiJet II and 180 MultiJet Power also joined the offer. In this case, the 160 MultiJet Power engine was only available in the Ducato MiniBus version.

However, if we are interested in larger engine capacities, then on the American market we have the 3.6 Pentastar V6 unit naturally coupled with a 62TE six-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, the Ram ProMaster model has not undergone a facelift and to this day (2020) has not seen major changes in the external appearance.

The premiere of the next generation of Fiat Ducato is expected in 2021.
