Specifications Van Iveco Daily I of Transit Center.
The first generation of Iveco Daily was designed and presented in 1978. It was guided by a simple idea, to move the chassis and drive system from trucks to smaller commercial vehicles. Thanks to the first-generation Iveco Daily lattice frame, it provides extraordinary reliability and durability of consumables.
Iveco Daily I was offered in many body variants: short, long, low and high, and the offer included passenger versions, a chassis with a frame and a dumper, later in the production also a 4x4 version was added to the offer (standard rear-wheel drive was available) ).
The engines offered in the first generation Iveco Daily are extremely successful designs with 2.5L capacity. The offer included engines with power: 72HP, 75HP and 2.5 Turbo engine with 95HP, which was presented in 1980 together with the Iveco TurboDaily model. Interestingly, in 1986 Iveco also presented the Iveco Daily electric prototype! Iveco Daily I customers could also choose between a 5 or 4 speed gearbox. The first generation Iveco Daily fuel tank could hold 75L of diesel.
Initially, Iveco Daily was sold under the Fiat and Alfa Romeo brand as Fiat Daily and Alfa Romeo AR8 models. The largest Iveco Daily model had a loading space of around 17 cubic meters.
