Mercedes Sprinter parts are spare and genuine parts for a Mercedes van
Mercedes Sprinter parts are genuine and spare parts for a Mercedes van. Mercedes Sprinter is a leading light commercial vehicle of the German van manufacturer, which made its debut on the market in 1995.
The first generation of the Mercedes Sprinter replaced the previous van model, which was the Mercedes T1 (duck). The development of the new delivery vehicle was crowned with the creation of Mercedes-Benz Vans, a special organizational unit dealing with delivery vehicles. The introduction of the Mercedes Sprinter I to the market was forced by the evolution of the industry and changes in the commercial vehicle market. Automakers moved away from angular bodywork shapes in order to achieve a more streamlined shape and to reduce the air coefficient. The Mercedes Sprinter was characterized by a more dynamic design and a different arrangement of the engine, which resulted in lowering the noise inside the cabin. The German manufacturer's van was created in the 3.5 ton segment and was offered in 3 wheelbase versions, which also influenced its height and length. The Mercedes Sprinter was response to the great market demand for universal vehicles targeted at various economic sectors. Already in 1995, Mercedes presented a motorhome - Sprinter James Cook, equipped with a kitchen, toilet and 4 sleeping places. Three years later, four-wheel drive vehicles targeted at the most demanding customers were introduced to production. It also affected parts for the Mercedes Sprinter, which needed to be expanded with new versions of the vehicle.
In 2000 Mercedes Sprinter of the 1st generation underwent a facelift. The headlights and the design of the front apron have been changed. Changes were also made inside the vehicle. The gear lever is located on the center console, and the dashboard has a completely different layout. Diesel engines dominated among the engines, which were characterized by exceptional durability and resistance. Among the changed parts for the Mercedes Sprinter, the Sprintshift gearbox should also be mentioned. It was an automatic transmission that reduced fuel consumption. It was also available on 4x4 vehicles.
Just 2 years later, in 2002, Mercedes decided to make another facelift of its leading delivery van. The Mercedes Sprinter parts that have changed are the engine cover, the front grille frame, or even the rear turn signal covers. In 2003, the EPS system was implemented in the delivery vehicle. The Mercedes Sprinter was the first delivery van with a factory-fitted electric power steering system.
The second generation of Mercedes Sprinter has been produced in Germany since 2006. Mercedes started cooperation with Volkswagen, the effect of which was to create a common base for the construction of vans. The vans have slight stylistic differences, but they are based on the same construction. Most parts for the Mercedes Sprinter II also fit the Volkswagen Crafter. The manufacturer decided to introduce complete innovations. The design of the vehicle has been changed - both inside and outside. There were also versions with a permissible total weight of up to 5 tons, which hit a completely different segment of the automotive market. There was also a focus on new safety systems, which also affect the driving comfort of the Mercedes Sprinter 2. The Mercedes has ABS, ASR, MSR, BAS and EBD systems and an airbag for the driver.
Mercedes Sprinter III debuted on the market in 2018. It is a proprietary design that was not created in cooperation with Volkswagen. Social consultations focused on the opinions of users of delivery vans and owners of various companies played a very important role in the production process. Parts for Mercedes Sprinter 3 are a real innovation on the automotive parts market. The streamlined body shape, elegant radiator grille, large Mercedes emblem are the most important changes. Inside the vehicle there are a number of innovations that increase the comfort of using this van.
