Transmission Iveco Daily 2006 clutch, propshaft center bearing
The transmission of the Iveco Daily IV consists of all parts that are designed to transfer the torque from the engine to the wheels of the van. Right after the engine, the drivetrain is the most important system thanks to which the Iveco Daily can move. Very large forces act on parts of the drive system, therefore the materials used for their production must be of the highest quality. The fourth generation Iveco Daily is equipped with rear-wheel drive (RWD) as standard. In 2007 in cooperation with the SCAM brand Iveco presented the Daily with four-wheel drive (AWD). Vehicles with this drivetrain are used, among others, as fire trucks, campers, police vans or other vehicles for special tasks.

The drive shaft is a long straight shaft with cardan joints that transmits torque from the gearbox to the drive axle. In the 4x4 version, there is a transfer-reduction gearbox with a center differential behind the gearbox. Its task is to split the drive into two propeller shafts, one of which drives the rear axle and the other the front axle. To avoid serious malfunctions, it has a center differential that works in the same way as the axle differential. To relieve the drive shaft, the propshaft center bearings are used. Shaft bearings on high mileage vans may need to be replaced as their bearings wear out over time. Universal joints on both ends of the shaft allow it to work under different angles. It is necessary to periodically check whether there are any loose on the cardan joints. If any of the shaft ends is noticeably loose, replace the U-joint.
CV joints and driveshafts Iveco Daily IV
The final parts of the drive system are the driveshafts and drive joints. These parts are located behind the differential and transmit energy to the wheels. In the event of too heavy forces acting on the driveshafts, these shafts may break. A damaged driveshaft does not transfer drive to the wheel and prevents further driving.
The Driveline category for Iveco Daily 2006 also includes parts such as gearbox mount, gear shift cable, clutch pump, slave cylinder, bearings and many more.
